Versus Fear
Fear of not belonging, fear of repeating the past, fear of trying and losing anyway. These are the women who moved forward with the fear still in the room.
What This Obstacle Looks Like
Fear does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like a hand that will not stop shaking before a job interview, a decision to stay quiet in a room full of people who look nothing like you, a nightly ritual of checking that everyone in the house is safe before you can sleep. It can come from a specific event or from years of watching things go wrong for people you love.
What these stories have in common is not the absence of fear. It is the decision to act while the fear was still there, not after it disappeared, because for most people it never fully does.
Why These Stories Matter
We tell these stories because "be fearless" is bad advice dressed up as inspiration. Nobody in this hub was fearless. They were afraid and did the thing anyway, which is a more honest, more useful thing to show someone who is currently afraid and stuck.
